Emergency call saying they had found a dead bat in thr house and some others were flying about. On arrival was able to find a juvenile bat on the floor. Sadly it had passed away. It would seem the bat ha come in through an open window and had been trapped inside. Sadly it more than likely passed away from starvation. Out in the countryside in amd around farm buildings these bats are actually beneficial. They eat lots of insects. Bats are protected as are their roost sites. At dusk you will routinely see them flying around and they are a spectacular sight for all to see. If you end up with a bat in thr house don't panic..... open the window or the door and turn the lights off. Let them find their way out.
