Honey bees had swarmed from a local hive and had decided to set up house inside the soffit of this cottage. They had taken advantage of some rotten wood to gain entry. We were able to carry our a thermal survey and pinpoint their exact location. This made the extraction easier. Once we had exposed the colony we were able to remove them humanely amd clear the comb away. They certainly had been very busy bees. We have relocated them to the our isolation apiary where they will remain for 6 weeks.
